Position: Project Coordinator

Location: Fort Knox, KY

Type: Full Time/Contractor

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Job Summary: The Project Manager will serve as coordinator for special projects for Operations and Maintenance Army (OMA), Major Capability Acquisition (MCA), Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), customer reimbursable projects and other projects as assigned. They will provide project coordination support to the Directorate of Public Works at Ft. Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield to deliver fire, mechanical, and engineering design products.

Responsibilities:



  • Deliver complete, executable design product related to fire, mechanical and plumbing needs.
  • Coordinate with Design Engineers and Master Planning to develop design product.
  • Obtain environmental impact statements and economic analysis, and review technical criteria against project objectives, determining if criteria will perform as needed. Screen review comments to determine scope and pertinence.
  • Initiate and coordinate resolution to potential problems related to design product.
  • Coordinate design measures that are conventional and complex in nature, which encompasses multiple components and phases of project work.
  • Assure successful completion of projects by producing design products consisting of plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Deliver all assigned design products complete and in accordance with applicable codes.
  • Successfully complete any necessary (on-going) trainings as required.
  • Travel between Ft. Stewart, GA and Hunter Army Airfield, GA as needed.



Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Appearance: All personnel shall be attired in business casual clothing for daily work. Attire worn should always ensure employees safety from working conditions (long pants, appropriate shirts and close toe shoes as required): on occasion, staff may be required to wear a business dress for certain activities.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science degree from accredited school of Engineering or Engineering Technology OR equivalent degree in related field such as Architecture.
  • PMP Certified from nationally recognized entity
  • 2 years significant construction project experience as a PMP
  • Current Unlimited General Contractor's (UGC) License with 2 years work experience
  • 2 years of experience collaborating with internal and external teams
  • Ability to pass government background check and security screening
