Position Overview: The Records & Registration Office at Northampton Community College is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused, and proactive Administrative Assistant to provide essential operational and administrative support in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills are required, along with a commitment to supporting students, faculty, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
Work Schedule: This is a part-time position, requiring approximately 25 hours per week. The working schedule includes 4-5 days a week, within the office operating hours. Current operating hours are:
Provide customer service through the One Stop Center, phone, and email, ensuring timely and effective responses to inquiries.
Assist with daily Records & Registration operations, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of add/drop/withdraw forms, enrollment and degree verifications, change of major requests, and updates to student personal information.
Ensure the accuracy of student records, registration, and demographic data within the College's Student Information System (SIS), following academic policies and FERPA regulations.
Work autonomously with minimal supervision, demonstrating discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and a capacity to quickly adapt to new technology and software systems.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to customer service excellence.
