Tectonic is currently seeking a full-time Construction Manager to work on projects throughout the Upstate New York area; this position is flexible to be based in Latham, NY, Rochester, NY or Syracuse, NY and will require regular travel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Provide leadership in the planning, design, construction, and oversight of wireless telecommunication facilities projects, including new build sites, macro modification sites, small cell new build and modifications, and standalone HVAC, generator, or power plant upgrades;
  • Provide technical leadership to construction project teams and vendors composed of architects, engineers, the construction team, equipment suppliers, and other internal and external vendors and contacts throughout all project phases from concept, planning, and design to project completion;
  • Manage and monitor progress of various site engineering and construction activities, including the bid process, bid walks, and site visits to ensure effective technical project planning for complex projects, identify and resolve identified project issues, and communicate with the client to ensure client satisfaction;
  • Establish project priorities and goals for project performance, including budget and schedule limitations and monitoring progress to ensure the timely achievement of project milestones;
  • Develop client relationships and contracts in driving consistency, efficiency, and financial results, and collaborate with Company resources as needed to provide additional services; assist with proposal submission and business development;
  • Review, approval, coordination, and maintenance of project documentation, including correspondence, reports, procedures, and project guidelines, from commencement to completion;
  • Day to day oversight of project staff, including Project Engineers, Staff Engineers, and AutoCAD Operators;
  • All related duties as required;


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience providing construction management services on wireless telecommunications projects, and a minimum of 1 year of project management and leadership experience; or any other suitable combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable;
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of all phases of wireless telecommunication construction projects, from concept, planning, and design to project completion;
  • Must demonstrate proficiency Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to utilize other project and Company specific software;
  • Must possess the ability to manage multiple facets of multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Must be detail oriented with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively;
  • Requires a valid, acceptable driver's license and a personal vehicle to travel to meetings and sites as needed.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is frequently required to assume a stationary position, handle, inspect, and/or feel documents, materials and/or equipment relevant to the job and communicate about same. The employee will also need to process manual and computer generated documents, and will be required to communicate using the Corporate e-mail and telephone systems. In accordance with the level of visual detail required for this position, close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required for this position. They will be regularly required to move around on a job-site, including ascending or descending on the landscape or on a ladder, and positioning themselves appropriately to obtain necessary specifications. The employee may be occasionally required to lift and/or move equipment and materials up to 10 lbs. This position will involve operating a motor-vehicle, which will require assuming a stationary position for extended periods of time.

PAY RANGE

Tectonic's goal is to compensate employees fairly and equitable across all positions Companywide. Our advertised pay ranges are representative of our good faith effort to provide a reasonable anticipated salary range. The offered pay may be outside of the provided salary range based upon the selected candidate's work location, experience, education, certifications, and capabilities compared to the advertised position.

Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000 / year
