About the Role: We're looking for a Staff Data Scientist to join our team, supporting our Platform Product group. In this role, you'll deliver actionable insights to help Planet better understand our customers. You'll work closely with leadership across the company to understand and support business needs, and play a crucial role in building a culture of measurement that will be directly reflected in the product roadmap. You'll also collaborate directly with data/analytics engineers to design data sources and products to best suit your and Planet's needs. As the most senior individual contributor (IC) on Planet's Data team, you'll have the opportunity to mentor more junior data scientists and analysts, and foundationally influence data science best practices as we branch further into applied models, A/B testing, and machine learning.
