IMEG is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking an Electrical Design Technician in our St Louis, MO office. The Electrical Design Technician 1 will work closely with a team of experienced engineers andconsultants to provide mechanical design solutions and advice to clients to ensure positiveoutcomes. Primary responsibilities will include assisting in analysis, design, andimplementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings. This position will be expected towork within the project's monetary budget and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meetproject goals and client expectations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and analysis of electrical systems, utilizing engineering software andtools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to coderequirements and IMEG standards

  • Assist with documenting design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoringproject design progress

  • Analyze lower complexity design tasks and propose innovative solutions. Collaborate withsenior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions

  • Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs meetIMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices inelectrical engineering. Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts withinIMEG

  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of design work. Identify and mitigate potential safety risksassociated with electrical systems

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and projectmanagers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production oftechnical plans and specifications

  • Familiar use of Adobe or Bluebeam Revu

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges

  • Knowledge in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software

  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals orgroups

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook

Education and Experience

  • Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM), or Engineering preferred

  • Prior experience in the building design consulting or construction industry preferred

  • Revit experience preferred
