Specialist- Goldberg lab

The Goldberg lab seeks a Specialist with exceptional expertise in metabolism and metabolite signaling through protein modifications to lead a project focused on uncovering the physiological significance of lysine beta-hydroxybutyrylation. The project scope is broad and incorporates biochemical, molecular biology, and in vivo animal physiology approaches to comprehensively study this novel pathway. The candidate will be required to maintain an updated lab notebook and train more junior lab members.

The ideal candidate must have a published track record on lysine beta-hydroxybutyrylation. The candidate must also have a terminal degree (or equivalent degree) or ten or more years of experience using molecular biology and biochemical techniques. Some of this experience must be in mechanisms of transcriptional regulation, epigenetics, and histone modifications. The candidate should have documented experience training junior lab members - such documentation could include their co-authorship on publication(s) and this must be pointed out in the CV and cover letter. The candidate should also have received independent funding during their postdoctoral training and this should also be clearly indicated in the CV and cover letter.
