As a Bridge Assistant Superintendent at SFC Civil, you will play a pivotal role in the safe and successful execution of bridge operations. Under the guidance of seasoned Superintendents, you'll coordinate field employee activities to enhance environmental safety, reliability, and quality while managing production costs effectively. Your responsibilities will include organizing job sites, assisting in labor and material planning, and ensuring compliance with best management practices. You'll monitor daily operations, maintain site reports, and facilitate communication among key stakeholders, including owners and subcontractors. Engaging in relationship-based safety culture, you'll lead toolbox talks and promote a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position is not just about overseeing tasks; it's about developing skills, fostering team growth, and creating a commitment to excellence within the workforce. Are You A Good Fit For This Assistant Superintendent Role? To thrive as a Bridge Assistant Superintendent at SFC Civil, candidates must possess a unique blend of skills and knowledge. A technical education or three years of relevant work experience is essential, along with the ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications. Familiarity with safety devices and OSHA guidelines is crucial for maintaining compliance and ensuring a safe work environment. Strong coordination skills are necessary for efficiently using heavy equipment, while proficiency in Microsoft Office, HCSS Heavy Job, and HCSS Plans will aid in production reporting. Excellent oral and written communication skills will facilitate interaction within the team, supporting collaboration and team building. Candidates should exhibit good organizational skills, forward thinking, and leadership abilities to influence and motivate others. The ability to problem-solve independently, manage change, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment is key. A valid driver's license and a commitment to Journey Group's core values are also required for success in this position.
