Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. (WJE) is seeking a Senior Communications and Marketing Associate to join our corporate headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois. The person in this role with be a pivotal member of our Communications and Marketing team. They will collaborate closely with leaders throughout WJE to develop and implement strategic marketing and communication plans that highlight our technical expertise, client solutions, company culture, and dedication to excellence.

Essential functions:

  • Collaborate closely with unit, practice, and market leaders to identify and address business needs that require marketing and business development support

  • Create and execute comprehensive strategic communications plans to boost awareness and visibility of our services among key stakeholders

  • Provide expert advice to leaders on the most effective marketing tactics and develop tailored marketing plans

  • Support the development and implementation of marketing tactics using both internal and external resources

  • Review and refine existing materials or create new content to effectively communicate our services, core capabilities, and key messages

  • Generate engaging content for social media, WJE.com, and internal communication channels

  • Plan and manage events, both client-facing and employee-oriented

  • Manage project budgets responsibly, ensuring fiscal prudence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or Journalism preferred

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience (prior experience in architecture, engineering, and construction industry is a plus)

  • Outstanding abilities in listening, consulting, communication, and problem-solving

  • Exceptional people skills for engaging with diverse individuals across various levels of the organization

  • Proficient in writing and editing, with a passion for these activities

  • Strong media relations skills are an advantage

  • Expertise in project management and process development

  • Experienced in using social media platforms

  • Ability to work independently as well as lead team efforts

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, InDesign, Photoshop, and e-mail marketing platforms

  • Working knowledge of graphic design and/or layout tools

  • Results-oriented with a positive attitude, initiative, diplomatic assertiveness, high energy, and excellent organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. This position requires visual acuity and listening ability along with the ability to read and write. Individuals must have the dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as a computer, printer, fax, copier, telephone, voice mail system, and other office equipment. The position requires the ability to remain for extended periods at a workstation, as well as the ability to lift 25 pounds.

WJE offers a robust, total compensation structure, where base salary is just one component of an employee's annual earnings. Additionally, employees receive variable compensation based on personal and company performance, often resulting in above-market annual earnings. Actual base salary will be based on several factors including consideration for a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role while remaining mindful of our commitment to internal equity.A good faith estimate of the annual starting base salary (gross) is in the following range:

$89,040.00 - $133,560.00
