POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

The Regional Equipment Specialist will be responsible for managing the daily operation of construction equipment in the assigned region. This role involves coordinating the usage, maintenance, and logistics of both owned and rental equipment for solar construction projects. The Regional Equipment Specialist will work closely with project managers, field teams, and the Regional Equipment Manager to ensure that equipment is available, safe, and in optimal working condition, supporting the smooth execution of all projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage and monitor the utilization of heavy equipment and machinery across solar projects within the assigned region. * Responsible for the optimization of the performance and lifespan of equipment, ensuring maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

* Analyze equipment usage data to recommend improvements and adjustments. * Coordinate and maintain detailed records of all scheduled maintenance, cleaning, repairs, and inspections to minimize equipment downtime and ensure regulatory compliance.

* Work closely with maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly. * Ensure all equipment meets safety regulations and company standards by completing the equipment management check list. * Provide training and guidance to site teams on safe and efficient equipment operation.

* Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment and spare parts within the region.

* Perform an equipment yard inventory and reconcile it with HCSS to verify accurate location and status. Consult with the Senior Asset Manager if discrepancies are identified.

* Responsible for identifying and reporting any unreported damage or broken-down equipment in the region. * Monitor and report any unused or underutilized equipment on the job site with the EC and PM to review with each craft. * Review and ensure Daily Equipment Inspection forms are being filled out and filed.

* Inspect and ensure job sites have necessary equipment fluids for topping off equipment as needed.

* Review that all on the road equipment has a recent service and has valid inspections/FAI on them.

* Maintain copies of rental agreements and ensure they are present in each unit.

* Responsible for maintaining Company Logos and DOT Numbers on unit, ensuring they are clearly visible and in good condition. * Hold weekly meetings with all divisions and site management to review any equipment needs.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

* High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.

* 1-3 years of experience in equipment management, fleet management, or similar roles within the construction industry, preferably in solar or renewable energy.

* Strong knowledge of construction equipment (heavy machinery), maintenance practices, and safety regulations. Familiarity with solar construction is a plus.

* Willingness to travel regionally as required to manage equipment at various construction sites.
