HEICO is an Aerospace company that is looking for a talented summer IT Intern!! If you're a college student looking to gain valuable hands-on experience, knowledge, and ability to work on projects then we encourage you to apply. HEICO Internships are an 10 to 12 week program that combines on-the-job training with structured learning opportunities.

The IT Intern will act as the primary Customer Service interface/contact between HEICO Information Technology Services (HITS) and HEICO team members. Provide technical support and timely resolution to team member incidents and requests. Aid the Support Center Team with basic user needs such as termination, new hires, and account lockout and password reset under the direct supervision of the Support Center Manager.

This internship will take place startingMonday, May 19, 2025 till Friday, August 15, 2025.

Applications will be accepted between December 23, 2024 till January 31, 2025.

The format of this internship will be in person, full-time 40 hours per week. Monday- Friday during normal business hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Respond to all incidents, problems, requests and electronic contacts (e.g. Phone calls, Emails, Web requests, etc.) within the established Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
  • Responsible for handling all terminations, new hires, and account related issues.
  • Assist with basic software installations.
  • Assist in troubleshooting printer related issues.
  • Contribute to Knowledge base in order to aid the troubleshooting process and to avoid future incident/problem re-occurrence.
  • Ensures escalation procedures are followed in order to expedite incident/problem resolution or request completion.
  • Ensures constant follow-up is established with team members until issue is resolved or request is completed
  • Document incidents/problems and requests with accurate and detail
  • Cross-train with second level support in order to provide better incident/problem


EDUCATION:



  • High School graduate (Associate degree preferred) or equivalent experience.



EXPERIENCE:


  • Hiring preference is given to students who have served the school community as a Technology Leader or seeking a degree in the field of Technology.



SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES:



  • Language: Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
  • Computer Skills: Software: Experience knowledge of Windows XP/Vista 7, 8, 10, Outlook, MS Office, and Active
  • Hardware: Must have a good understanding of PC hardware components (HD, Network Cards, CD ROMs, etc.). Must be familiar with Dell-IBM PCs/Laptops and HP



GOALS OF THE INTERSHIP:

  • Learn some of the many facets of Information Services and Technology
  • Hands on learning experience in the technology arena
  • Learn how to work with different business units and types of personalities

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
