We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Cloud Engineering Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, Azure services, and migration strategies.
As an Azure Cloud Engineering Specialist with Hexagon US Federal you will be routinely creating, managing, and refining many different technologies and solutions that support Hexagon's software suite. The Azure Cloud Engineering Specialist is an integral part of managing deployments on both in the Azure Commercial Environment as well as the Azure Government Environment.
The work the Azure Cloud Engineering Specialist performs daily is key to managing the current infrastructures and helps to future proof new opportunities.

What we are expecting from you:
  • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience in related field
  • At least 3 years of experience working with cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Security+ CE certification (preferred) or must be obtained with 6 months of hire date.
  • Cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
  • Proven track record of designing and/or implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based solutions.
  • Azure platform expertise (Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Networking, VPN, Azure Policies, Log Analytics, Azure Monitor & Alerts, Azure Backup)
  • Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team with little supervision and guidance where communication is timely and effective.
  • Ability to investigate problems or malfunctions and find solutions or corrective actions.
  • Ability to work directly with customers to gather requirements and to resolve problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience deploying and administering security resources in an Azure Environment
  • 2-3 years of experience designing Virtual Networking Solutions
  • 2-3 years of experience designing and deploying IPSec based Site to Site Connectivity solutions
  • Knowledge of different deployment strategies (cloud, on-premise, hybrid).
  • Understanding of Azure Virtual Networking (ExpressRoute).
  • Experience configuring Azure Log Analytics, Azure Monitor and Alerts, Azure Policies, Azure Backup, Azure Key Vaults, Azure Virtual Machines.
  • Experience with PowerShell / Azure CLI.
  • Experience with FedRAMP Authorization processes is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
  • 3-5 years of experience deploying and administering resources in an Azure Environment
  • Experience designing and deploying Virtual Networking Solutions and IPSec based Site to Site Connectivity solutions a plus
  • Working knowledge of Azure AI / OpenAI concepts
  • Knowledge of different deployment strategies (cloud, on-premise, hybrid).
  • Experience with PowerShell / Azure CLI.
  • Proficiency in deploying IaC (experience with Terraform or BICEP)
  • Experience with Agile environments is a plus. (Azure DevOps, GitLabs, Atlassian Toolset)
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience in related field
  • At least 3 years of experience working with cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Proven track record of designing and/or implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based solutions.
Required Level of Security Clearance: - Secret
