DEA seeks a Survey Project Manager for our Portland or Salem, OR offices. Responsible for delivering high-quality survey projects on time and within budget, focusing on exceptional client service in the Oregon Region. Duties involve business development, managing project budgets and schedules, overseeing survey teams for various surveying services including control, boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys. The role utilizes cutting-edge technology such as GPS, laser scanning, aerial systems, mobile mapping, and hydrographic systems. Additional responsibilities include:



  • Ensure timely, budget-friendly, top-quality project execution, surpassing industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Regional Group and Delivery Leaders to secure resources for ongoing and proposed project commitments.
  • Lead and guide staff in surveys, reviewing engineering documents for compliance, aligning with DEA's Quality Management standards.
  • Adhere to firmwide tools, processes, and policies, encompassing project accounting, contracting, and quality mandates.
  • Engage in business development with new and existing clients, crafting proposals, managing budgets, and schedules.



Basic Qualifications:



  • Proficient in self-managing projects, adept at client communication, and mentoring junior staff.
  • Knowledgeable about state and county mapping requisites.
  • Advanced computer skills in CAD and Land Surveying software like AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation Open Roads, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Collaborative team player with strong teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with ODOT survey standards is advantageous.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Professional Land Survey License
  • 10+ years of experience as a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor
  • Basic understanding of Microstation and OpenRoads
  • Experience in transportation projects
