Job Title:VP, Portfolio Manager Professional Practice Finance Job Description:

Summary

The Portfolio Manager is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Professional Practice Finance portfolio, keeping client information up to date, including collection of required client financial information, ensuring covenant compliance for all loans within the PPF portfolio, and keeping exceptions (EITS Report) to a minimum and within company guidelines. This role focuses on owning the client relationship and cultivating the relationship based on the client's journey and, in turn, performs proactive account management activities, promoting client satisfaction and product adoption, resulting in a referenceable client.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary point of contact with clients in gathering information for portfolio monitoring.

  • Act as an additional point of contact with prospects for new sales opportunities in gathering, analyzing, and uploading information to better organize customer records and folders.

  • Point of contact with internal partners to ensure covenant testing is completed as required.

  • Point of contact in dealing with any problem or delinquent accounts and establishing modifications or restructures as needed.

  • Travel as needed as established by Senior Management.

  • Establish a process to efficiently gather information in a timely manner.

  • Manage and grow value-based relationships through exceptional communication and follow through to ensure client satisfaction, resulting in high client retention.

  • Deliver an exceptional client experience with proactive communication and orchestrating the right internal resources to maximize portfolio quality.

  • Support the bank's high standards for client care while performing as a key member of a service team.

  • Maintain exception items at or below Company Thresholds

  • Assist when needed with intake of information for prospective clients and underwriting/analysis of loan request(s).

  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Superb people skills to work within a team environment and successfully develop and
  • retain client relationships
  • Must have demonstrated skills in credit underwriting and portfolio management for professional service corporations.
  • Superior analytical and decision-making skills based on a thoughtful assessment of risk.
  • This position requires the use of sound business discretion, good judgment, and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and tactful interpersonal skills
  • Ability to produce needed outcomes, and retain client relationships
  • Self-motivated to work independently, achieve goals and take personal ownership
  • Effective time management and organizational skills in order to prioritize multiple tasks within a day
  • Strong working knowledge of regulations, compliance standards, market trends and products relating to the banking industry

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university

  • Five to seven years related banking experience and training

  • Commercial, credit and/or practice finance underwriting and portfolio management experience preferred.
