The Program Specialist for the Jefferson Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education (JCIPE) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of JCIPE programs as well as assisting with their development and delivery. The incumbent will work closely with faculty, staff members, students, and clinicians to develop, manage, deliver, and evaluate clinical, simulation, educational, and research programs. Duties include student and facilitator recruitment and tracking; faculty, staff, and student participant support; scheduling of orientations, workshops, and other program events; development of program materials and electronic curriculum delivery systems; interfacing with other campus offices and community-based organizations; and helping to develop and deliver program content.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages daily operations and coordination for JCIPE programs, including development and logistical aspects
  • Supervises JCIPE Program Assistant(s) in accordance with HR policy
  • Serves as primary point of contact for designated JCIPE programs, including recruitment, communication, and support for faculty, staff, students, and volunteers in all program endeavors
  • Oversees electronic curriculum delivery systems
  • Develops program content in partnership with faculty leads
  • Supports Center research projects by collecting, collating, and analyzing data pertaining to designated programs
  • Assists in research dissemination by conducting data analysis, drafting and reviewing abstracts, and/or contributing to presentations and publications
  • In collaboration with other Program Specialists and JCIPE team members, participates in one or more key non-programmatic Center initiatives, including:

o Management of the Center's social media presence on Instagram, LinkedIn, and X

o Production of JCIPE's biannual newsletter

o Planning of events such as the annual Recognition Ceremony and biennial conference

o Participation in JCIPE's Racial and Social Justice Taskforce and its subcommittees

  • Plays a leadership role across JCIPE programming, educational evaluation, and other endeavors, including programmatic problem-solving, best practice development, training student workers, and grading student work
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the iSCORE values of Jefferson.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree required

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in education design, development and/or program oversight.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Word processing proficiency and basic Excel required
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as to function independently
  • Highly effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Knowledge of virtual world programming a plus

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Assist with planning and organizing JCIPE meetings, conferences and other educational programs
  • Other duties as assigned
