Geostructural Drafting Professional

• Primarily involved with drafting (plan, profile, section, notes) of GeoStructural Design projects.

• Transform initial rough designs/sketches and redlines/mark-ups into finished graphics/construction/inspection drawings.

• Other responsibilities include preparation of site maps, soil boring logs, soil boring location diagrams, soil boring profiles, other pertinent figures.

• Office responsibilities may include assisting with or performing the following with supervision for training and development purposes:

• Perform entry level engineering calculations (depending on education)

• Reduction of geotechnical field data

• Ensure adherence to established company or client drafting standards

• High school diploma or GED

• 0-2 years of related experience with documented AutoCad training/certification
• Training, education and/or certification in Civil 3D, MicroStation and GIS applications (Arc-Map, Arc-Pro, QGIS, Google Earth) is preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• High attention to detail, self-motivated and responsible with multi-tasking and prioritization
• Proficiency with basic computer operations, including Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam Revu
• Emerging or limited experience with geotechnical and civil construction principles and applications
