What You Will Be Doing

The Director of Residential Sales for EV Charging will be responsible for leading and managing the sales strategy for residential electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions. This role will focus on driving revenue growth, developing customer relationships, expanding market presence, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the residential sector. The Director will also collaborate with product development, marketing, and operations teams to deliver exceptional solutions and create value for homeowners adopting EVs.

This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for the clean energy revolution, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of residential energy solutions and EV charging technologies. The Director will play a pivotal role in helping homeowners transition to electric vehicles by providing them with easy-to-use and reliable charging solutions.

Key Responsibilities



  • Sales Strategy Development

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for residential EV charging solutions
    • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to drive innovation in sales approaches
    • Set annual sales targets, KPIs, and other performance metrics to track success and drive growth


  • Business Development & Market Expansion

    • Identify and develop strategic partnerships with homebuilders, contractors, real estate agents, utilities, and other stakeholders
    • Drive growth in new and existing residential markets, both regionally and nationally
    • Develop and nurture relationships with key customers and industry influencers


  • Sales Process & Customer Experience

    • Oversee the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to customer acquisition and post-installation support
    • Implement and refine sales processes, tools, and CRM systems to improve efficiency, tracking, and customer satisfaction
    • Ensure customers receive personalized, high-quality service throughout their EV charging installation experience


  • Product and Market Expertise

    • Serve as the subject matter expert on residential EV charging technology and solutions
    • Keep abreast of industry developments, government incentives, and EV infrastructure trends to offer customers the best possible products and advice
    • Provide insights to the product and marketing teams for product enhancements and customer-focused campaigns


  • Revenue & Budget Management

    • Manage the sales budget and resources effectively to maximize profitability and return on investment
    • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to Senior Director of N/A sales


  • Cross-functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with channel, marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales strategies with organizational initiatives
    • Provide feedback to R&D and product development teams regarding customer preferences, market needs, and competitive features


  • Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

    • Ensure that all sales activities and customer installations comply with local regulations, building codes, and environmental standards
    • Stay informed of any changes in regulations regarding EV charging infrastructure and adapt strategies accordingly




Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, with at least 3 years in the residential energy or EV charging industry
  • Proven track record of success in driving sales and revenue growth, ideally in a related technology, home improvement, or energy sector
  • Experience in managing and developing sales teams, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus)

  • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies to capture market share
