Job DescriptionMust possess a current Massachusetts Second Class Fireman's License, per the union contract. This position works a rotating 8-hour shift schedule. Job Summary Under the direction of the chief engineer or designee the power plant operator is responsible for safely performing a combination of functions on an assigned shift including, but not limited to assisting in the preparation of all boilers, turbines and equipment for inspection, cleaning of boilers, tanks and breeching areas, as well as make necessary repairs or replacement to all types of pipes and boiler insulation. Additional Information This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with a progressive wage schedule. The hourly rate is $34.73 with a 2nd class Fireman's license. CompensationIn addition to a competitive benefits package, pay for this role is typically between $33.55 - $35.32 hourly covering the middle half of market compensation. Actual compensation will vary based on individual qualifications.
