Purpose of Position
The Director of Training Products supports FlightSafety InternationalA's goal to be the best choice in aviation training by leading Directors of Programs and Courseware Development teammates, managing the full lifecycles of training products from implementation, and serving as a liaison between Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), Vendors, Learning Centers, Corporate, IT and Simulation, Visuals Systems, and FlightSafety Services teammates. This position plans, coordinates, and supervises all activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of training products in his/her assigned fleet.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Implement FlightSafetyA's Fleetwide Strategy within all assigned programs and courses.
- Manage the activities required to implement new training products and courseware, modify existing training products and courseware, and remove obsolete training products and courseware from the training environment.
- Ensure that training products, systems and courseware comply with all applicable specifications, standards, and requirements.
- Manage projects against the project plan, manage risks in a timely manner, prepare action plans, and escalate when appropriate.
- Manage/monitor project scope and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with other Directors of Training Products on development best practices and creation of innovative products to support the training fleet.
- Provide training and mentoring to new hires and development teammates.
- Oversee processes and teammates to maintain all designated fleet programs, identify and report development issues, conduct program reviews to ensure standardization across the fleet is established.

Minimum Education
- Diploma and 8 years of relevant experience
- Associate's Degree and 7 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience
- Master's Degree and 5 years of relevant experience
- Education should be in a related field. Field of study in aviation, business management or related field preferred.
Minimum Experience
- Demonstrable experience must be within a professional development environment preferably in the field of education and training.
- Experience with project management preferred.
- Background in aviation or a safety oriented industry, preferred.
- Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; able to speak, understand, read and write.
