Responsibilities Our Test Data Management Test is on the lookout for a talented and experienced Database Designer/Administrator with a robust background in AWS. We are looking for someone to be part of our team that to assist with cloud migration along with providing service and support for applications that are already there. As a Database Designer/Administrator at State Farm, you will: * Design, Implement, and Maintain: Develop and maintain our database systems, focusing on leveraging AWS services. * Ensure Performance and Availability: Monitor database performance and ensure high availability, Performance, and reliability. * Collaborate Closely: Work hand-in-hand with development and operations teams to support data-driven applications and solutions. * Optimize Solutions: Continuously improve and optimize database designs for efficiency and scalability. What We're Looking For: * Expertise in AWS: Proven experience with AWS services and their application in database management. * Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in both logical and physical database design, building SQL and Stored Procedures. * Resourcefulness and Customer Focus: A track record of being resourceful, customer-focused, and thriving in a team environment. Qualifications Competitive candidates must have the following skills: * SQL skills and experience with database design and optimization. * Utilize AWS services such as RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, or Redshift to architect and manage cloud-based databases. Other Skills: * Ability to translate and transform business requirements into data models (Conceptual, Logical and Physical). * Ensure database security, backup, and recovery processes are in place and tested regularly. Involves helping product teams with failover, security and other considerations as they move their applications to the cloud. * Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas, queries, stored procedures for application performance. Includes tuning queries, reviewing SQL queries, indexing, and monitoring. * Creating and changing tables and databases. * Strong communication and collaboration skills. * Use of creative intelligence and an entrepreneurial spirit to approach problem solving with the tools of questioning, associative thinking, observing, networking and experimenting to yield new/differentiated ideas for products, technologies, and processes. #LI-LG1 #LI-Hybrid SFARM Please see job description PI255666820 |
