Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the CNA supports the continuum of care by providing basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living. Performs uncomplicated technical procedures. Participates in performance improvement activities, such as chart audits. Utilizes a variety of technical equipment and supplies. Provides basic patient care support: patient transport, specimen and blood, blood products transport, and inventory management. This position requires initiative, the ability to prioritize demands, and the ability to work in a team environment. The CNA participates in a collaborative team environment, including training and evaluation of peers, scheduling of work, and assisting the administrative functions of the unit. Will cross-train for the roles of Hospital Unit Secretary, Continuous Observation Attendant (COA), and Video Monitor Tech. Regularly functions as a patient sitter and observes and monitors patients to ensure their well-being and safety. The CNA Float Pool is a dynamic and adaptable role within our inpatient hospital setting. As a vital member of our healthcare team, the CNA Float Pool provides essential support across various units, ensuring high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall efficiency of the hospital. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $47,878 - $59,487 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $22.93 - $28.49 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
