OverviewAre you ready to shape the future of digital marketing at Microsoft? The Global Demand Center (GDC) within Microsoft is responsible for delivering integrated marketing experiences for Microsoft by building, running, and innovating a globally scaled engine to deliver connected journeys that delight customers and create fans. As a member of the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Team, you'll be at the forefront of driving organic search visibility and performance for Microsoft Cloud products including Azure, GitHub, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft 365, Windows 365, Microsoft Security, and more. As a Senior Technical Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager, you will lead the development and execution of advanced technical SEO strategies to enhance the visibility and performance of Microsoft Cloud products across a variety of web platforms and systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Program Management, Web Engineering, User Experience Design, and Integrated Marketing to identify and implement technical SEO improvements, ensuring our digital presence is optimized for search engines. Your expertise will drive organic growth and contribute to the overall success of our marketing efforts. In addition, you will help centrally manage our SEO toolset and vendors, and you will create a training curriculum to ensure our partners and stakeholders know the basics of SEO. This opportunity will allow you to deepen your knowledge of cutting-edge SEO techniques, gain experience working with large-scale websites, and develop your leadership skills by training others. You will also have the chance to work with the latest SEO tools and technologies, staying ahead of industry trends. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 100% from home. ResponsibilitiesConducting Forensic Technical SEO Audits: Performs detailed inspections of websites to identify on-page, off-page, and technical issues. This involves monitoring global sites regularly for technical crawl issues and other relevant errors and providing solution-based recommendations.Developing and Executing Technical SEO Strategies: Creates and implements strategies to improve organic search engine visibility. This includes optimizing our websites for efficient bot crawling, rendering, and indexing, tracking Core Web Vitals performance, and making necessary adjustments.Monitoring and Analyzing Performance Metrics: Keeps track of website performance metrics to understand organic search performance and measure the impact of technical changes. This involves analyzing large amounts of data from various sources and preparing executive-ready reports and insights.Identifying and Resolving Technical SEO Issues: Addresses technical SEO issues such as crawl errors, broken links, and other technical barriers that could affect search engine crawling and indexing.Setting Up and Maintaining SEO Tools: Ensures all SEO tools (e.g., Conductor) are properly configured and optimized for maximum efficiency across the full team.Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams: Works closely with program management, web engineering, user experience design, and integrated marketing teams to identify and implement technical SEO improvements.Staying Current on SEO Trends: Keeps up to date with global SEO and search landscape trends and identifies tools and reports to automate processes or deliver more sophisticated analysis.Measurement: Analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) for products, programs, and marketing to share insights and improve business impact through regular reports and meetings. Defines and applies KPIs for success, identifies trends, and presents findings to stakeholders.Business Strategy and Planning: Aligns SEO priorities with stakeholders and drives go-to-market strategy. Uses customer insights to improve research and address business needs.Project Management: Creates project plans and supports complex projects using existing materials.
