Who you are:

The Johns Hopkins Health System Supply Chain has four distinct divisions within its department: Sourcing & Value Analysis, Procurement, Analytics, and Logistics & Distribution. This position reports directly into the Chief Supply Chain Officer and the scope of responsibility spans across each division.

The Supply Chain Business and Project Manager is responsible for the application of project management best practices and principles for projects that span each division, developing and executing communication plans to keep entity stakeholders and executives informed of the impact that the department is having on the system, delivering supply chain specific training and education modules to staff across the organization, and leading the execution of the JHHS Supply Chain's Campus Talent Acquisition strategy across Post Graduate, Undergraduate, and high school programs.

In this capacity, the Business and Project Manager is expected to be familiar with concepts, practices and procedures related to project management, such as change management, performance improvement, resource management, risk management, portfolio management, business analytics, strategic communications, stakeholder management, forecasting, etc. They will also be responsible for the lifecycle of recruiting candidates on campus; from information sessions at targeted schools, screening interviews for intern and full-time roles, onboarding and ensuring optimal candidate performance and experience during Supply Chain's formalized internship program(s), and ultimately the placement of high performing candidates into full time roles.

What you'll bring:





  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in: health care, operations, or consulting.



  • 1 year of prior Supervisory, managerial, or leadership experience required



  • Process and System Design/Improvement Experience, Lean Sigma (preferred)



  • Experience in data management and statistical analyses to recommend courses of action based on data.



  • Experience in performing analyses of flow, staffing, scheduling, and resource utilization to develop and recommend courses of action.



  • Experience in identifying and illustrating relationships among complex activities.





What you will do:




  • Ensure robust project management principles and best practices are applied to projects strategically significant to the department
  • Track and monitor projects of strategic significance to the department, their statuses across the organization to ensure if projects are on-track, within scope and meeting project charter requirements; ensure coordination of efforts within the team and throughout different stakeholders
  • Oversee transition of projects after completion to business/functional owners
  • Overseei the development and execution of a communication strategy associated with executive requests and executive-driven initiatives that require cross-functional engagement across the organization internally and with external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with JHHS Supply Chain leaders to develop and distribute monthly communications that provide actionable insights into key departmental goals and projects
  • Engage in cadence of business review meetings with divisions of Procurement, Logistics and Distribution, Sourcing & Value Analysis, and Analytics to understand key priorities and relevant need to
  • Facilitate and deliver training and education sessions on process, policy, and technology changes throughout the continuum of JHHS Supply Chain operations
  • Campus recruitment-Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at targeted schools, universities, and graduate programs that JHHS Supply Chain leadership identifies to support and promote our campus recruiting strategy



Education:

Master's in Business, Health Administration or other relevant field is required.

Certification:

Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma, Lean, or similar training preferred

Salary Range: Minimum 37.31 per hour - Maximum 65.30 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
