Groundskeeper

• Maintain all lawns, athletic fields, plantings, trees, and paved areas across the Porter-Gaud campus.
• Safely operate all landscaping equipment.
• Follow all safety regulations and departmental policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Assist with special event setups, including arranging tables, chairs, and erecting tents.
• Perform post-event grounds maintenance.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Grounds Manager, Plant Manager, or Director of Facilities.

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Proficient in safely operating landscaping equipment.
• Knowledge of irrigation, fertilization, and herbicides (preferred).
• Capable of working in various weather conditions.
• 2+ years of landscape maintenance or construction experience.
• Valid SC driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High School diploma preferred, not required.
• Physical demands: frequent lifting (10-20 lbs), occasional lifting (50 lbs), and continuous vision, hearing, and fine motor skills.
• Work outdoors in heat, humidity, and cold.
