Position Details Reporting to the Senior Manager, Private Label Strategy, the Senior Analyst, Private Label Strategy, will support private label product development process, provide technical expertise, conduct private label assortment analyses, and provide recommendations to Sr. Manager Merchants. You will also document product specification requirements for assigned portfolio. The position is Hybrid requiring 50% of time onsite at either the Lake Forest, IL headquarters or Chicago, IL Merchandise Mart office. You Will
- Analyze product portfolio and recommend product line revisions based on national brand portfolio/market trends
- Document product and quality specifications for assigned private label portfolio in collaboration with partners.
- Manage private label maintenance processes to ensure product portfolio and private label substitutes remains up-to-date and relevant.
- Research marketplace trends involving products, customers, suppliers, and competitors to identify new product, sourcing, and product content ideas to ensure our assortment and customer experience are the best in class.
- Manage execution of branding strategy, brand standards and adherence of those brands throughout assortment, packaging, and content.
- Partner with Sourcing, Engineering and Supplier Management to ensure the highest quality product assortment at the best cost for assigned categories.
- Partner with marketing/pricing/merchandising to ensure private label assortment pricing remains relevant based on the Merchants strategy within category, to achieve profitable growth.
You Have
- BS/BA degree
- 3+ years' experience in industrial product management, merchandising, sourcing, marketing, new product development, or technical sales
