Job Summary:

Bring your passion for newborns and hospital medicine to a high-impact role in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul metro area. As a Newborn Hospitalist, you will play a vital role in delivering specialized inpatient care to newborns, while supporting a collaborative team focused on excellence, compassion, and family-centered care.

Key Position Details:

You will be responsible for direct patient care through comprehensive assessment, decision-making, and treatment planning for hospitalized newborns. In this role, you will provide pediatric consultations in emergency and surgical settings and have the opportunity to perform procedures in the inpatient setting.

Direct Patient Care

  • Deliver inpatient newborn hospitalist care in a hospital setting within the Minneapolis/Saint Paul metro area.

Consultation and Procedures

  • Provide occasional pediatric consultant to the emergency department and surgical teams.

  • Perform pediatric procedures in the inpatient setting with skill and confidence.

Collaborative Environment

  • Work alongside a skilled, collegial team of hospitalists and pediatric care providers.

  • Participate in team-based approaches to care and contribute to system-wide goals around safety, quality, and patient experience.

Job Description:

This position is ideal for an advanced practice provider who thrives in a fast-paced hospital setting, values multidisciplinary collaboration, and is dedicated to making a difference during the earliest and most critical moments of life. You will care for newbornspatients in the inpatient setting, provide expert consultation to the ED and surgical teams, and be part of a supportive pediatric care team with strong leadership and clinical support.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification within specialty required upon hire
  • ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days
  • PALS/NRP required within 180 Days
  • Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire

Pay Range

Pay Range: $61.14 to $70.28 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
