Function: Material Handler

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to cooperatively work with fellow team members and management in all areas.
  • Must be a self-starter, have a positive attitude that promotes pride and desire to work.
  • Good work and organizational skills.
  • Requires accuracy with part numbers, model numbers and quantities.
  • Ability to follow production schedule and ability to multitask.
  • Must be able to interpret computer printouts and displays.
  • Must be able to work with little supervision.
  • Must be able to lift 1 to 40 lbs. as needed.
  • Must have hazardous material training.
  • Must be willing to fill in wherever needed as needed as directed by management.
  • Must be able to Load/Unload trucks and process paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Responsible for daily housekeeping and 5S
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends if required.

KNOWLEDGE SKILL SET AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Forklift
  • Basic Computer Skills

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have no active disciplinary action in the past 6 months, must have less than 5.0 points (edit based on Job Level requirements)
  • Must be able to pass Forklift Certification & Product Handling training.
  • Must be able to pass mathematical skill test.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone. The employee frequently is required to drive, walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
