As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients. A full time Senior Research Assistant staff position is available in the Genomics, Epigenomics and Sequencing (GES Core) (Director: Prof. Xiang Zhang) at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. The GES Core is one of the best equipped laboratories in the College using the most advanced technologies for next generation sequencing, single cell sequencing, and many other services/collaborations in genetics and epigenetics. This high volume, high impact laboratory is expected to generate over 1.2 million dollars in revenue this year while supporting research to understand a full spectrum of biological processes and human diseases. Staff in the Core are paid above the average salary, have opportunities to learn innovative technologies, operate the latest instruments for biomedical research, and attend national professional meetings. This position will assist with the coordination of laboratory projects or research studies in the GES Core and make independent contributions to projects and studies. Essential Functions
