Position Highlights The Fred Fox School of Music at the University of Arizona is seeking a dynamic Multimedia Specialist I. The Multimedia Specialist is deeply immersed in all aspects of advertising, marketing, design of flyers, brochures, posters, recruitment materials, advertisements, and printed/digital media, program design, concert list e-mailers, press releases, photography, social media and website for approximately 300 events. This position is responsible for overseeing student workers, and works closely with the Director of the School, the Production Manager, faculty/staff/students, and ticket sales. The Multimedia Specialist will need to have effective communication skills, effective and streamlined planning to completion experience, and management skills.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute graphic design projects and social media content strategy.
  • Create branding and fundraising toolkits to support organizational goals.
  • Create concert and recital programs, stories, press releases and promotional materials while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Lead photography, videography, and multimedia production efforts; ensure inclusive, accessible, and strategically aligned communications.
  • Analyze content performance and align with strategic goals.
  • Manage web content strategy and email marketing campaigns.
  • Handle crisis communication and provide daily marketing support.
  • Create and coordinate conference presence and recruitment initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills and efficiency in response to requests and needs.
  • Clear and professional writing and editing skills.
  • Photography/videography skills for editing, compressing, digitizing, and distribution, development of multimedia projects within the branding policies of and in collaboration with the University of Arizona and in alignment with Arizona Arts/College of Fine Arts.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in music, arts administration, graphic design, or similar.

Understanding of and experience in the music profession's design and layout of academic and performance programs and materials.

Graphic design software experience for the production of graphic art and visual materials for promotion, advertisement, packaging, and informative materials through a variety of media outlets.

Experience within the field of music in the development of concert/recital programs and appropriate layout/design within the profession.
