This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at 6200 Greenwich Drive and remote. The Business Intelligence Specialist 4 serves as the lead subject matter expert on Supply Chain Management Services for an array of complex business problems across the enterprise, using data to provide visualizations and insights to decision makers in Procurement, Operations, Contracts, Strategic Sourcing, and other stakeholders as needed. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Develops forecasts, recommendations, and strategic / tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Works with business and / or clinical units to understand and prioritize data and information requirements. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required / available data elements. The Business Intelligence Specialist 4 designs, builds, and optimizes the performance of enterprise business intelligence tools by defining data to filter and index that add value to the user. Develops business cases to support enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions and serves as lead Business Intelligence resource for Supply Chain Management Services.Develop and deploy Tableau DataSources and Tableau Dashboards for a wide range of Supply Chain Management Services objectives, in adherence to data integration & analytics standards set by UCSDH Information Services Data Integration Team policies & procedures. Generate financial reports and produce data visualizations for a variety of requestors & stakeholders, both internal and external, including but not limited to Procurement, Contracts, Storehouse Operations, Compliance, Regulatory, Finance, Budget, and other stakeholders as needed.Liaise and consult with enterprise stakeholders as needed for a variety of emergent data reporting requirements, including but not limited to enterprise goals such as Sustainability, Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI), Small Business Reporting, and other requests. Coordinate cross-functional data and reporting projects to solve complex business problems involving multiple stakeholders throughout the enterprise. Create, maintain, and publish knowledge documentation related to business intelligence tools, financial reports, data integrations, report automations, and data pipeline conceptualizations.Monitor and consult on Supply Contracts & Pricing Data systems and processes to ensure continued contract compliance and operational efficiency. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $94,400 - $176,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $45.21 - $84.67 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
