The Opportunity

Adobe is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our cutting-edge products that enhance personalized customer experiences. As a senior member of the Decision Sciences team, you will lead the development of innovative machine learning solutions that drive business growth and enhance user experiences. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex, large-scale projects that have a significant impact on Adobe's technology landscape and the broader industry.

Partnering with Adobe Research and other business units, the candidate will architect products that transform the way companies approach audience creation, journey optimization, and personalization at scale. You will join a diverse, collaborative, lively group of engineers and scientists long established in the ML space. The work is dynamic, fast-paced, creative, and data-driven.

The Decision Sciences team spearheads a transformative initiative that powers Digital Experience solutions with AI-driven intelligence for personalization at scale, a key differentiator in the industry. Decision Sciences develops AI/ML-powered solutions that enhance business outcomes and boost operational efficiency for our customers.

What you'll Do

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of machine learning models and systems that address complex business challenges.
  • Architect and optimize end-to-end ML pipelines, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and robustness.
  • Facilitate alignment among senior leadership on innovative ideas and strategic initiatives.
  • Engage with different teams to incorporate ML algorithms into Adobe products, influencing product strategy and architecture.
  • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance tuning of ML models and systems.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Publish technical papers, contribute to open-source projects, and represent Adobe at industry conferences and forums.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise, driving the adoption of new technologies and standards within the organization.

What you need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have the following background:

  • Master's degree with 10+ years of experience or PhD with 5+ years of experience in developing, evaluating ML models, and deploying models into production.
  • Deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis techniques.
  • Proven track record of developing and deploying ML models in production environments.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and experience with ML frameworks like scikit-learn, SparkML, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • A passion for continuous learning and staying current with the latest advancements in machine learning and related technologies.
  • Experience working with both research and product teams.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $170,900 -- $325,200 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
