Security Control Assessor Remote- DMV Pay From: $55 per hour MUST: Experienced Security Control Assessor Active Secret clearance 5+ years of experience SCA experience Experience with risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk) Expereience with cybersecurity principles Experience with cyber threats and vulnerabilities CCISO or CISA or CISM or CISSP or CISSP-ISSEP or GSLC or GSNA Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or other related discipline. DUTIES: The SCA is responsible for conducting a comprehensive assessment of implemented security and privacy controls and control enhancements to determine the effectiveness of the controls. Conducts independent comprehensive assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls and control enhancements employed within or inherited by an information technology (IT) system to determine the overall effectiveness of the controls. Demonstrated experience in determining how a security system should work including its resilience and dependability capabilities; Demonstrated experience in discerning the protection needs of information systems, networks, and platform information technology Demonstrated experience in applying the principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
