Inova Health System is seeking a Buyer to join the Supply Chain Management team! This role is full-time working Monday through Friday, Hybrid.

Requirements for consideration:



  • High School or GED
  • 2 years of buying or procurement experience



Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:



  • Procures materials components, equipment, supplies and services necessary for the operation of the company.
  • Schedules and monitors goods and services to meet the production requirements of the company.
  • Assists end users researching and purchasing best value products and services to ensure the proper needs and goals of the organization are met.
  • Assists departments (internal Supply Chain or external departments) with ad-hoc requests, returns, ordering issues and status updates pertaining to their orders.
  • Communicates backorders or ordering delays related to orders. Assists with the coordination of potential substitutes or engaging different departments/vendor to resolve the immediate needs.
  • Serves as an expert resource to other end users on e-Commerce; Uses the various available technologies to provide end-users with training and information regarding products, pricing, and usage.
  • Conducts business by using appropriate judgment for actions, maintains high standard of work behaviors. Refrains from soliciting or accepting gifts, prejudicial discounts, entertainment, favors, or services from present or potential suppliers that might influence or appear to influence, purchasing decisions.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, such as production, logistics, and finance, to ensure efficient supply chain management and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Resolves any issues or disputes with suppliers, such as late deliveries, purchasing holds, quality concerns, or contractual non-compliance, ensuring a satisfactory resolution that aligns with the organization's goals.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.
