Position Summary |
The primary location of this position is the main Cullowhee, NC campus.
This position requires skills that are needed for but not limited to new construction, renovation, repair, and trouble-shooting of the lock and door systems on the campus facilities. It also requires an understanding of construction and keying practices to support the building hardware systems. Provide needed trade capability for the maintenance, repair, alteration, or construction of structural building components. Additional responsibilities include maintenance, repair, and installation of facilities hardware components.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. |
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position |
Knowledge of master keying systems. Knowledge of the standard practices and methods of the locksmith trade. Manual skill in making minute filing and insertions. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to maintain security and integrity of lock systems. Ability to maintain records of keys, patterns and combinations. Ability to establish and maintain rapport with department heads, deans, facilities management director, and other trades personnel. Completion of grammar school and one year progressive experience in the repair and replacement of locks; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a current NC Locksmith License or apply for a Locksmith Apprentice License as applicable under the North Carolina Locksmith Licensing Act. (2001-369, s. 1.). |
