JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Berks is seeking a laboratory coordinator for biochemistry and chemistry teaching laboratories. This position involves the preparation of laboratories for students taking biochemistry, molecular biology, general chemistry, and organic chemistry labs. Work includes basic molecular biology and biochemistry prep as well as organic and general chemistry prep. The coordinator prepares all solutions, reagents and media, allocates supplies, maintains flow of supplies for laboratory sections, implements continual safety policies, maintains equipment, cleans glassware, and performs other lab duties as needed. The coordinator interacts regularly with the teaching faculty to ensure continuity among sections of the same course and to ensure weekly preparation of each laboratory.
