Overview

Operates telephone switchboard to answer, screen, route calls to various departments at Corporate. Approximately 142 calls daily, 30% rollover rate to back-up department. Greet and answer inquiries for general public, customers and visitors; announce and log visitors with simple badge and book sign-in process. Check all IDs as regulated by compliance for all visitors.



Responsibilities

    Answer/refer reception calls supporting the Chicago office. Primary front desk coverage, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, CST.
  • Operates with a full understanding of front desk standard operating procedures
  • Welcome, register and control visitors until internal co-workers for visitor arrives for visitor. Confirms closing out the visitor departure time and collects badge.
  • Maintain secure lobby; Follow and instruct TSA regulations. Visitor badge instructions. Monitor login process and delivery notification updates.
  • Assist with special events, corporate functions and/or cause marketing. Such as stuffing paperwork or event invitations and building swag bags. At max, these smaller items are approximately 3- 4 times per year.
  • Enters names into welcome sign when Chicago sales rep is requesting visitor name to appear.
  • Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.

Other Skills We Hope to See:

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • 0-3 years' Customer Service
  • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Basic knowledge working with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast pace high volume environment
