Work Arrangement: Hybrid - This is a "Hybrid" position, which means selected candidates will be assigned to a facility and will spend some time working both in office and from their home. Selected candidates will be expected to report to the office once a week.

Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fun, efficient, and collaborative team working on a modern technology stack! Within this role you will be leading Internal Audit to achieve our goal of becoming a Technology Enabled Audit Operation. Your primary focus will be to modernize, implement, and automate new and existing solutions on AWS using technologies such as Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, Textract, Quicksight, etc. Within this role, you will be responsible to design and lead implementation efforts across a wide range of solutions. You will be partnering with other Software Engineers/Senior Engineers/Engineering Manager within Internal Audit to architect and drive out these solutions on AWS. These solutions will provide our business partners with means to get at enterprise-wide data in an automated fashion and automate different testing tasks to increase effectiveness and efficiency of the audit process. On top of this, you will be working to drive out gen AI use cases. This is a unique opportunity to be embedded within a business area and bring value at a high pace with high visibility. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with team members to architect and implement solutions on AWS to solve numerous business problems
  • Lead other software engineers within the team to drive out effective and accurate solutions.
  • Work across business areas to understand data across the enterprise.
  • Identify ways to automate current data ingestion and analysis practices across the department.
  • Translate technical complexities into achievable milestones.
  • Execute on complex problems in a fun environment.
  • Be a servant leader for the team on software delivery and implementation.


Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Professional experience in software design, implementation, and delivery.
  • Extensive skill with Python or other object-oriented languages (Java)
  • Thorough knowledge of AWS services including but not limited to Glue, Lambda, S3, Step Functions, RDS, Athena, Redshift, etc.
  • Hands on experience writing and deploying AWS infrastructure through Terraform.
  • Automated testing experience through frameworks such as PySpark.
  • Extensive CI/CD experience with Gitlab or other tools such as Jenkins.
  • Advanced SQL experience with complex joins across different datasets and schemas.
  • Understanding of agile practices and methodology.
  • Ability to articulate technical architecture into objectives and solutions.
  • Self-starter who likes to dive into problems and figure complexities out.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with SaaS providers and technical integrations
  • Experience building front-end web applications using frameworks such as React and Node.js
  • Implementation experience building and integrating with Restful APIs
  • Understanding of practical applications for data science capabilities on AWS.
  • Basic understanding of Quicksight and capabilities
