Regional Director of Pharmacy Services Full Time; FTE 1.0 Monday-Friday; 1st Shift Rock Island, IL The Regional Director's responsibility is to oversee the medication distribution system and to monitor and optimize the clinical use of medication management across UnityPoint Health - Trinity Quad Cities/Muscatine campuses. This role has primary focus on strategic development for the pharmacy service line across all market campuses, including provider alliances and ensuring linkage to the local and system strategies. Responsibilities
- Will develop a solid pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacy management team that will link into the local and system strategic initiatives and manage day to day operations on each campus.
- Consistent visibility on each campus and committed to serving as the Regional Director to all pharmacy employees.
- Identify and effectively link UPH System Pharmacy practices, changes, etc. that apply to the QC/Muscatine market and drive best practices from the local region up through the system Pharmacy group to improve overall enterprise Pharmacy services.
- Prepares pharmacy service line operational and capital equipment budgets and monitors the pharmacy service line performance to determine when alterations/revisions in staffing, services, and equipment are needed.
- Coordinates pharmacy service line purchasing and negotiating contractual services directly or supervision over the performance of such services.
Qualifications
Education:
- BS in Pharmacy of PharmD from an accredited college of Pharmacy
Experience:
- Five years' experience as a Director or Manager of Pharmacy in a hospital setting demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of hospital pharmacy practices OR equivalent experience.
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
- Registered Pharmacist in IL and IA (or obtained within first 180 days)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Exceptional database and spreadsheet knowledge, proficient in math, pharmacy calculations and use of excel formulas.
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Visio)
