Financial Analyst Budget and Forecast

This role requires onsite support in the State of Michigan. We are unable to provide employer visa sponsorship now or in the future for this role.

Supports the system's budget and forecast process. Collaborates with colleagues from finance divisions to assist in the budget process. Maintains reports and dashboards for the system's management reporting.

• Collects and analyzes financial and utilization information to support the department.
• Performs statistical, cost, and financial variance analysis of data to evaluate financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assists on business issues including financial and profitability analysis. Develops solutions to problems which require ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
• Collaborates with assigned areas of the organization and/or senior level analysts or leadership to analyze financial data.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, finance, business administration, economics, statistics or related field or equivalent experience
• 1 year of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or related work

Preferred

• Masters degree
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - State of Michigan
