THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Fiscal Management Specialist 2, you will be responsible for the daily fiscal operations for the Procurement Section of the Division of Budget and Procurement within the Bureau of Quality Assurance and Administration. Work includes processing contractual documents, budget revisions, set-aside exception requests, and fixed asset approval requests in accordance with DDAP procedures. You will be responsible for processing invoices for payment as well as creating and maintaining contract invoice files to include the yearly update of budget amounts, document numbers, account codes, and increases/decreases to budget amounts as applicable. You will also have the opportunity to record expenditure adjustments completed throughout the year.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 1; or
  • One year of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
