Position Highlights The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Urban Agriculture Production and Field Crops Team is seeking candidates for Program Aide (Extension Assistant I) position for the Fall semester, and other time of the year, as available. Incumbent will work directly with and be supervised by UArizona Cooperative Extension faculty and team in the area of urban agriculture, field crops, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), help with building website, social media and data entry and analyses, and agriculture production and technology. Every effort will be made to match applicants who are students with a project that enriches their experience and understanding of agriculture production, sustainability, and technology in Arizona. This position is intended to provide candidate with real-world experience addressing issues of sustainability and technology of agriculture production in urban and rural communities in Arizona. The position is not limited to any particular degree areas. Position location is in Phoenix.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Performs routine work for the delivery of extension programs to relevant program communities by helping with hosting various Extension events and activities and applied research.
  • Help with developing evaluation criteria and metrics to measure own outcomes as well as knowledge gained through implementation of project.
  • Interacts mostly with immediate peers within assigned work
    group communicating straight forward information to perform assigned duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience is required.
  • Ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.
