Position Highlights |
The Math Department is seeking an enthusiastic, organized and tech-savvy individual to fill the position of Administrative Assistant, Academic Support. The primary role of the Administrative Assistant, Academic Support is to support the administrative and organizational needs of courses, instructors and students in the Math Department. In particular the focus of this position is to help facilitate the Math 100 course and the math placement processes.

Duties & Responsibilities |
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the administrative needs of the department, particularly the courses supported by the Math Lab and placement
- Manage forms and reference material; update as needed
- Create, update, and maintain documents, slides, and materials for Math Lab, math placement and other department courses
- Create and reply to correspondence to/from students, faculty, staff, and the public
- Assist with management of in-person and online proctoring for Math Lab and placement
- Assist with the management of student data in our content management system for the Math Lab, math placement and summer workshops
- Collect, sort, and distribute mail
- Assist with incoming calls, emails, and in person support
- Assist with department document copying, printing, and scanning
- Assist with calendaring and fulfilling room reservation requests
- Assist with guiding students through the math placement and registration process
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills, and proven ability to work with stressed or upset people.
- Ability to learn and implement new technologies.
- Ability to work well with a team and under supervision.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of and experience with D2L and/or other learning management systems, such as Canvas.

Minimum Qualifications |
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
