The College of Medicine - Phoenix is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Research Project Manager to support the Division of Cardiology. College of Medicine-Phoenix will lead in the education and successful practice of medical innovation and entrepreneurship. In this role, you will work closely with the Division of Cardiology, clinical research teams, and the Research Office to manage the day-to-day operational and administrative activities of clinical research projects, including regulatory compliance, patient recruitment, and financial transactions internally and nationwide. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a professional demeanor. Duties & Responsibilities |
Project Planning and Management:
- Coordinates and performs day to day operational and administrative activities in support of the research projects.
- Serves as a contact for internal and/or external stakeholders to coordinate activities, exchange information, deliver reports, etc.
- Support Project Pl in development of strategic plan with input from key members of the community.
- Support Pl in coordinating a steering committee and regular meetings to push strategic plan forward.
- Develop, manage, and oversee clinical research projects, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation in collaboration with project Pl and other units involved (Research Office, Finance, UAHS, SPS).
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Lead and assist in coordinating site enrollment.
Team Coordination and Communication:
- Lead and coordinate project teams, conduct regular meetings, and serve as the point of contact between stakeholders,
including investigators, sponsors, and other collaborators. - Ensure communication with key partners and stakeholders locally and nationally.
- Establish a learning community for faculty and students, leveraging the College of Medicine Phoenix' location and
proximity to high-quality clinical partners, bioscience-based businesses, and a growing body of young bioscience companies and entrepreneurs.
Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:
- Work with regulatory team to ensure all regulatory documentation is prepared, maintained, and submitted in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements, and other applicable regulations.
Monitoring and Quality Assurance:
- Monitor study progress, including patient enrollment, data collection, and adherence to study protocols.
- Perform quality checks to ensure data integrity and identify issues requiring corrective action.
- Compiles and analyzes data related to program administration.
Risk Management and Reporting:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare project reports and provide regular updates to sponsors and stakeholders.
- Draft program sponsor and other technical reports as required by award terms & conditions.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare, clinical research, or business administration, or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Three (3) years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications |
* Master's degree or equivalent professional experience in clinical research or project management.
* Certifications and Licenses: Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC), Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
* Additional certification patient care (RS, MSN, OR MD) is advantageous. * Electrophysiology Expertise: In-depth knowledge of electrophysiology (EP), especially in ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablation, like clinical-scientist or MD trained with clinical background preferred.
* 3-5 years of experience in clinical research, project management, or a related field.
* Proven experience managing clinical trials, coordinating teams, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and timelines. Experienced in leading randomized IP initiated clinical trials and observational studies, working with academic centers national wide on EP trials with Clinical and Operational Knowledge.
* Strong Research and Academic Record: Demonstrated academic excellence and experience contributing to advancing cardiology research and practices, can help with data analyzing, ensuring clinical and scientific integrity at every phase
* Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish. |
