Daikin is looking for a Software Quality Analyst III to join our team! The SQA III will create and carry out software test plans to ensure associated implementation is performing as prescribed by the work item. Under limited supervision, you will ensure that no other implementation was adversely impacted by such changes, provide clear guidance to the development team, and serve as backup to Product Owners assisting with their responsibilities when necessary. You will document testing results, create bug work items where necessary, document issues found, and collaborate with the development team to address them. What you will do:



  • Review Acceptance Criteria compiled by BA and liaise with BA on changes as appropriate
  • Document software defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software developers and project managers
  • Lead, monitor, and assist with bug resolution efforts and track successes
  • Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, and usability.
  • Create and execute test cases with minimal documentation or business requirements, ensuring thorough testing of the application
  • Collaborate with business partners, IT team leads, project leads, business analysts, end users, and third-party contacts to design, plan, execute, and validate test scenarios, scripts, or procedures to test system modifications and receive business user acceptance prior to implementation
  • Contribute to building and improving QA processes, working in a growing QA environment where procedures are still being defined
  • Perform both manual and automation testing as needed, leveraging automation tools for efficiency
  • Participate in product design reviews, providing input on functional requirements, product design, schedules, or potential risks
  • Suggest corrective actions to mitigate quality-related issues
  • Conduct root cause analysis to determine reasons for production quality issues.
  • Communicate complex issues clearly and concisely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail by spotting inconsistencies and bugs that may be missed
  • Take initiative and proactively identify potential quality issues even with limited formal documentation
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years of quality assurance testing experience
  • Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle, especially requirement development, analysis, test planning, and execution
  • 3+ years of hands-on test automation experience using WinAppDriver and Selenium
  • 3+ years of experience with one of the test automation tools such as Tosca, TestComplete, or AccelQ
  • Knowledge of HVAC commercial/industrial business systems is a plus
  • Ability to work with minimal or incomplete business documentation and adapt to fast-paced environments
  • Strong problem-solving ability with experience in test automation
  • Comfortable working in an organization where the QA process is evolving, and willing to take ownership of improving QA practices
  • Self-starter, able to work independently and take initiative in a rapidly changing environment
  • Experience working within a team utilizing AGILE Scrum and working on web application development projects
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities, processes, and requirements as the QA function matures
