Job Description Summary

The Floor Tech will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor. The duties are to operate buffers, sweepers, strippers, mops and other equipment. Such duties shall be in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services.

Job Description

The duties of a Floor Technician are to operate buffers, sweepers, strippers, mops and other equipment but not limited to the following:

PRINCIPLE DUTIES

  • We are hiring a Floor Technician that has experience ensuring customers have clean and orderly commercial or office space.
  • Professional communication with the customers to make sure their expectations are met is essential.
  • Vacuuming
  • Mopping
  • Bonneting
  • Extraction (wet/dry)
  • Strip & wax floor
  • Carpet spot removal
  • Transport equipment, tools and supplies
  • Move furniture before/after clean
  • Communicate changes, progress or problem areas
  • Understand how to read MSDS sheets
  • Properly label chemicals
  • Wear proper PPE when working with chemicals/equipment
  • Experience in the janitorial industry required, with floor/carpet care expertise preferred
  • A pre-employment background screening and drug test will be required
  • Read, write, speak English
  • Must have experience using floor machines

***Candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check, including criminal history.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
