Our program provides high-quality supplemental academic and support services for migratory children/youth ages 3-21 who reside throughout Massachusetts. Our Ready for Kindergarten Program sends bilingual, experienced educators to model age-appropriate kindergarten preparedness activities to migratory children ages 3-5 and their caregiver(s), typically in their home or at a local library. Department: Massachusetts Migrant Education Program Title: MEP Student Liaison FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Migrant Programming and Partnership Manager Purpose: The MEP Student Liaison's primary role is to help support the migratory student in their learning, by establishing a one-on-one connection with each student assigned to them. They will communicate regularly in relation to academic support (direct and indirect) and general academic progress, but not serve as an additional content-area teacher. They will also serve as a point of contact for the student between their school, family and MMEP staff. This position will work between 1-8 hours a week outside of the official school day. The MMEP Student Liaison are not required to be licensed teachers, though they should be a school employee who is in the building and in contact with the students on a regular basis.
