As the Facilities and Equipment Supervisor, you will directly supervise the Maintenance Specialists and a Facilities Office Coordinator. Your duty will be to collaborate regularly with the Real Estate Facilities Management, IT departments, and internal Contract Administration. We Require
One year of facilities management, construction oversight, or project management experience, including experience in a supervisory role Bachelor's degree in facilities management, planning, project management, or a related field A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis Must complete a medical exam that includes screening for Tuberculosis, as required by Federal and State regulations, by the time of hire

Job Contributions
Ensure all Head Start program sites meet the AZ DPHS Childcare Licensure Regulations for Childcare Center classification, including facility health and safety standards, policies required for the daily on-site operation, and all other requirements for annual renewals Oversee the maintenance of all department sites through coordination with department staff, Facilities Management Department and contracted vendors Supervise Maintenance Specialists and Office Coordinators to ensure facilities are properly maintained Work with the Real Estate Department and HSD Contracts & HSD Budget/Finance for the development of and approval of Lease/License Agreements and Amendments Work with program staff to identify sites for program service delivery, ensure all departments and units are involved in the setup of the site, including the Real Estate, Facility Management, and IT departments, to ensure internet and phone connectivity is established; manage non-IT equipment inventory/Capital Assets Oversee the department's Risk Management Safety plan, including a facility evacuation plan and associated training for all HSD facilities Work with program staff to ensure project planning is complete and equipment is maintained and replaced as necessary, including but not limited to playgrounds
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office environment, which may require long periods of sitting, reading, and typing The position requires travel to and from various county, client, and contractor locations during a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles used on County business A hybrid schedule may be available depending on projects and workload Must complete a background check and fingerprint identification upon hire to secure and maintain Level 1 Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire
