Position Highlights The Coordinator, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) at the College of Medicine-Phoenix is responsible for supporting accreditation efforts and enhancing the quality of academic and administrative processes. Reporting to the director, Liaison Committee for Medical Education (LCME) Accreditation, the coordinator will manage and maintain accreditation documents, institutional databases, and contribute to LCME survey preparations. The role involves extensive collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including deans, faculty, students, and external consultants. The coordinator will also handle policy development, coordinate special programs, manage affiliation agreements, and support CQI activities across the institution.

In-office setting with occasional requirements for travel to clinical sites for meetings and events.

Duties & Responsibilities

Accreditation Support:

  • Develop, maintain, and update documents and databases related to LCME accreditation requirements.
  • Contribute to the creation of reports and preparation for virtual and on-site LCME surveys.
  • Collaborate with various constituencies, including deans, accreditation committees, faculty, students, and LCME survey teams, to support accreditation processes.
  • Update and maintain accreditation pages on the College's website and reconcile college policies in both internal records and on the website.

Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting:

  • Collect, analyze, and report on CQI data to assess the effectiveness of academic and administrative programs.
  • Develop and facilitate workshops, meetings, and conferences with a high impact on the program and participants.
  • Track event attendance, develop brochures, and manage unique projects related to CQI and accreditation.

Policy and Curriculum Management:

  • Support the development, reconciliation, and update of educational policies in alignment with college-wide and institutional standards.
  • Facilitate policy workgroup meetings, including taking meeting notes, resolving policy edits, and ensuring version control.
  • Work closely with curriculum committee leadership to maintain faculty governance over policies.

Program Coordination:

  • Coordinate the Resident as Educator (RAE) program, maintaining an educational database of all resident program offerings with clinical affiliates in the Phoenix area.
  • Provide support for special events, including arranging conferences, disseminating materials, assisting with presentations, and managing catering services.

Affiliation Agreements and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all affiliation agreements are up-to-date and audited annually.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Registrar, and University of Arizona, Health Sciences contracting team to maintain active agreements for all student rotation sites.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs/products for projects, collaboration, and communication.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications

* Proficiency in managing website content, data management, and analysis tools.

* Experience in policy development and event coordination is highly desirable.

* A deep understanding of accreditation processes and quality improvement methodologies.

* Bachelor's degree in education, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

* Preferred experience in quality improvement, accreditation, or administrative roles, preferably in higher education or medical education settings.
