DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will provide structured on-the-job training and classroom instruction to inmates in the electronics trade, helping them build valuable skills for future employment upon reentry into society. Your responsibilities will include teaching the standard practices, methods, and procedures of the electronics trade, focusing on the maintenance and repair of electronic, electrical, and mechanical devices used in industries such as electronics, radio, television repair, and broadcasting. You will deliver a comprehensive curriculum, ensure accurate documentation of inmate progress, attendance, and assignments, and oversee inmate work crews as they complete electronic work orders as part of their training. Additionally, you will plan and assign daily schedules and provide guidance to ensure that tasks are completed to standard. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 40-hour work week
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Please note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $50,846.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of experience in the testing and repair of electronic equipment; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
