Check Point is looking for a motivated Accountant to help shape the future of the department by building scalable and reliable accounting processes. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, allocations, fixed asset capitalization, and balance sheet account reconciliations for multiple divisions.
  • Streamline the day-to-day operations of the accounting function, including cash management, expense management, payroll, internal controls, and record-keeping.
  • Assist in financial audits.
  • Serve as the backup for filing multi-state sales and use taxes, property tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • Maintain overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOX controls, and GAAP.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for standardization and automation.
  • Perform ad hoc accounting or finance projects and analysis as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a CPA is preferred
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge in SAP and Vertex is preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship from an employer now or in the future
