Description Southern Maine Health Care Summary The Supervisor - Security Services - role provides supervision to one of the three department shifts. This role includes: reporting to department and organizational administrator on any emergency issues; patrolling assigned building and grounds, preventing and/or detecting fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry and unsafe conditions and practices; assisting staff to prevent combative and/or destructive patients from injuring themselves and other people and/or from destroying organizational property. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 1. Education: Post secondary education preferred. 2. License/Certifications: Valid Driver's License required. Management of Aggressive Behavior certification required within one year of start date. Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Certification in handcuffing and pepper spray required within six months of start date. 3. Experience: Two years of healthcare security experience required. Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred. 4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Completes Fitness for Duty standards.
